How can we make financial literacy accessible to youth across North America? Collaborate with a personable and successful social media influencer. To effectively communicate RBC's financial literacy curriculum #ItAllAddsUp we partnered with YouTube influencer Tyler Oakley. Nordest produced a promotional video that was integrated into RBC's sponsorship activation during WE Day's 2017 multi-city youth empowerment tour.
As a veteran social media influencer with more than 8 million YouTube subscribers, Tyler was the perfect partner in helping us deliver a financial message that was relatable to our internet-savvy audience. We also crafted a cross-promotional digital strategy that increased the video's reach, leveraged Tyler’s social media presence, and ultimately, increased visibility and awareness of RBC's #ItAllAddsUp curriculum.
